Debbie Guerra

Debbie Guerra Maldonado.
I don't know very much about famous pepople in anthropoloy. But she is de the only women I know because she is the president of the School of Anthropology.
Her work is centrally in feminism, but her lasts works are about hoy the ecologic anthropology help to the solution of environmental conflict.

I like her work, because she works with the social anthropology wich is the most I like.
She also a profesor in the institute of maternity and in the school of anthropology in the Universidad Austral in Valdivia.
She has a lot of Masters in Chile and in USA.
I really like her beacuse I think she has done a great work in the feminism in Chile. Some day I would like to be like her because I want to do a valious input in the country and also I want to be a teacher in the career, because I think that is a good way to make people feel more in comun with their culture and with themselfs like humans.

I hope that my work in a future be similar to her work.

The last movie I saw...Shutter Island :)

Shutter island. It's the last movie of Martin Scorsese and it's starred by the lovely Leonardo di Caprio, my favorite actor Ben Kingsley and Mark Ruffalo.
Last weekend I went to Puerto Varas to see my family but on Friday's night I went to Valdivia to see my boyfriend. When we were coming back to Puerto Varas in the bus we saw the movie in his notebook.
I was really expectant about the movie 'cause the idea that I was created with the synopisis got me really ansious to see it. The movie is very good, sometimes you feel that is to long but at the end you think that it worth all the time you spend seeing it.
Shutter island it's about a psyquiathric hospital where rare things happends. At first Teddy Daniels (L. Di Caprio) with Chuck Aule (M. Ruffalo), judicals police, where both send to the island to investigate the missing of rachel Solando, a mad woman who kill her three sons.
In the movie we can see the mental play that exist between Daniel and John Cawley (B.Kingsley) the main doctor of the institution.
When you're watching the moive sometimes you don't know who is the crazy in the story and I can't tell anymore because you have to see it.
All these spiderweb of conflicts make me love this movie and I want to see it again very soon. I hope you enjoy it just like I did. bye for this time!

hi everyone! I'm a student of first year of anthropolgy. right now I'm in english class and the work consist in creat a blog.. so here I am. creating my blog.
I don't know what things of me could be interesting to you but let me introduce myself.

I'm from Puerto Varas, Chile. I really miss my family and I'm getting used to Santiago. At first I didn't want to study in here, but our country is so centrally (if that word exist) that best universities are here.

Every day I met someone new. That's funny because I don't like to be alone. I'm not so sure about my career but everyday I like it more.

Well, that's all for today, maybe the other time I could write something more interesting. bye!
